FAQ's
Cesarean Rehabilitation & Scar Release Therapy
What are the benefits of Cesarean Rehabilitation & Scar Release?
Cesarean Rehabilitation and Scar Release therapy takes a holistic approach by incorporating a rage of techniques to enhance your recovery, offering both immediate and long-term benefits.

Soft tissue techniques, combined with corrective exercises, work to reduce scar adhesions, improve circulation, and support muscle recovery. These methods help alleviate pain and tension, increase flexibility in the abdominal area, and promote overall relaxation and mobility.

Microcurrent therapy is particularly effective for individuals experiencing numbness or tingling around their scar. By applying low-level electrical currents to targeted points, it supports nerve repair at a cellular level, promoting the regeneration of nerve pathways and potentially speeding up the return of sensation.

The combination of these techniques provides a comprehensive solution for the often-overlooked recovery needs of women after Cesarean surgery. This holistic approach not only supports healing and pain relief but also aids in muscle recovery, restores core muscle function, improves breathing mechanics, and helps you regain full functionality in your daily life.
How many treatment sessions are recommended?
To support long-term healing, six sessions spaced 1-2 weeks apart are recommended. This schedule allows for gradual and effective rehabilitation post-surgery. Each session is carefully structured to address different aspects of recovery, including scar desensitization, pain relief, muscle restoration, and improving core and breathing function. This consistent, step-by-step approach ensures optimal healing, helps restore mobility, and supports a full return to functional movement.
What if my Cesarean surgery was several years ago?
This therapy is beneficial whether your Cesarean surgery was 3 months ago or 30 years ago. Scar tissue, muscle tension, and limited mobility can persist long after surgery, affecting your comfort and function. Cesarean Rehabilitation and Scar Release Therapy helps release tension, alleviate pain, improve flexibility, and restore core strength, promoting healing at any stage. It's never too late to enhance your recovery and regain full functionality.
Can I receive treatment for other scars on my body?
Yes, our Scar Release Therapy for Women is designed specifically for individuals who would like to receive treatment for scars that are unrelated to Cesarean surgery. This therapy uses similar techniques to promote healing, reduce tension, and improve mobility, helping to restore function and alleviate discomfort in any area affected by scarring.

Pre & Postnatal Corrective Exercise
What is Prenatal Corrective Exercise?
Prenatal corrective exercise is a fitness approach tailored to the specific needs and changes that occur in a woman's body during pregnancy. It focuses on exercises and movements that aim to:

-
Strengthen Core Muscles: The abdominal muscles undergo significant changes during pregnancy, and prenatal corrective exercises help maintain core strength and stability.
-
Correct Posture: Pregnancy can lead to changes in posture due to the shifting centre of gravity. Corrective exercises can address posture issues and prevent discomfort.
-
Improve Pelvic Floor Function: Maintaining pelvic floor strength is essential for both pregnancy and childbirth. Prenatal exercises target the pelvic floor muscles to reduce the risk of issues like incontinence.
-
Reduce Pregnancy Discomfort: Exercises can help alleviate common pregnancy discomforts like back pain, leg cramps, and tight muscles.
-
Enhance Circulation and Energy Levels: Gentle, pregnancy-safe exercises can improve blood circulation and boost energy levels, helping women stay active and healthy during pregnancy.
-
Prepare for Labour: Some prenatal exercises focus on breathing techniques and movements that can aid in labour and delivery.
What is Postnatal Corrective Exercise?
Postnatal corrective exercise, on the other hand, is designed to help women regain strength, mobility, and fitness after childbirth. It typically involves exercises and movements that:

-
Restore Core Function: Postnatal exercises focus on rebuilding abdominal and pelvic floor muscles weakened during pregnancy and childbirth.
-
Realign and Strengthen: They help realign the body's posture and strengthen muscles that may have become imbalanced during pregnancy.
-
Address Diastasis Recti: If a separation of the abdominal muscles (diastasis recti) occurred during pregnancy, postnatal corrective exercises can help close the gap and restore abdominal strength.
-
Improve Pelvic Floor Health: Corrective exercises continue to promote pelvic floor health and may be crucial for preventing postpartum issues like incontinence.
-
Boost Overall Fitness: Postnatal corrective exercise gradually reintroduces women to physical activity, aiding in the recovery process and promoting overall well-being.
